Contract Management, PT Non Exempt (hourly)
$41.00 to $60.00
20 hours per week

Summary:

The Contract Manager is primarily responsible for researching and preparing RFP’s for goods,
equipment, products, and services for Sun City Summerlin Community Association, Inc. This
position works directly with the Executive Director to develop centralized procedures for reserve
expenditures, new capital expenditures and other purchases within current budgets or as approved
by the Sun City Summerlin Board of Directors. This position interfaces with all Department
Directors in preparing specifications and needs for projects. 

Description of Duties:

• Be familiar with all reserve items and work with team on updating the Reserve Study
• Follow all NRS 116 laws and guidelines for expenditures on goods
• Create a RFP process and control for all departments
• Create a list of local and national domestic suppliers and vendors by product line and for bids
   on RFPs
• Create and control the RFP and Sealed Bids process
• Keep abreast of changes affecting both the supply of, and demand for, needed products and
   materials
• Consider price, quality, availability, reliability, and technical support when choosing suppliers
   and merchandise.
• Have a working technical knowledge of the goods or services to be purchased.
• Place orders and ensure product is shipped according to deadlines.
• Work with accounting to insure proper assignment or GL accounts on all product purchases
• Complete sales purchases, including equipment, machines, goods, and services for company.
• Find the highest quality goods possible by reading reviews and performing extensive research.
• Identify local and national domestic suppliers and vendors. Ask vendors for promotional
   prices and incentives
• Keep abreast of changes affecting both the supply of, and demand for, needed products and
  materials
• Act as Project Manager for large projects

• Contact with the organizations Executive Director, Senior Managers, Accounting staff and the
SCSCAI Board of Directors, which requires strong professional interpersonal communication
skills both written and verbal.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Physical Demands, Work Environment: Risks and discomforts typical of an office/meeting
environment with exposure to outside including exposure to hot and cold temperatures and
light noise exposure. Requires performing all job functions using all safety precautions and
applying all SCSCAI safety policies and procedures.
